Malakoff built the ‘Kestrel’, a Voe 26 vessel as a purpose-built safety response vessel.
The Kestrel
The boat was based on Malakoff’s other safety vessel ‘Osprey’ with a few minor alterations.
The Kestrel was designed for an inboard engine/waterjet propulsion system. The vessel is fitted out with a 250hp Cummins engine and a 273 Hamilton jet. After being built in 2007, the vessel was put straight into service at Sellaness as a safety response vessel.
