Malakoff were requested to provide project management supervision, welder fabricators, fire watch and arc air burning equipment to remove sea fastenings from the MV Brevikfjord. Sea fastenings consisted of grillage and port and starboard shipside pad eyes.
Introduction
Works were requested to be completed in a 12hr turn around. All staff completed base induction and a toolbox talk and then commenced removal of the 1st forward section of grillage and shipside pad eyes.
Work Scope
- Provision of tradesmen competent in arc-air gouging and oxy fuel cutting to remove a variety of sea fastenings
- Provision of management and site supervision to ensure full control of work
- Provision of all required equipment and consumables
